Excuse me!! I bought this game on itch.io before, and I didn't log in to my itch.io account at that time. Now I find that there is only a payment receipt in my email, but no purchase page, so I can't download the game. Can this problem be solved? :-S
We're can't really talk about discount specifics due to Steam's rules, but I can confirm that we plan on discounting the game whenever an event comes up (if you check something like SteamDB, you can see our historical trends of games on sale, which may help!). Seasonal sales, some events, the Otome Game Celebration that just happened, all good reasons to have a discount for a little while!
It is exactly the same game. On Steam, it uses a version that includes PC, Apple, and Linux files, so it's slightly larger, but the in-game material is identical.
does anyone know how to leave cirrus's route safely? I played through it and got a scene accidentally where I met Keir not in the usual fashion (i followed Kix/other teenagers into Mole Hole) but i wasn't sure how to trigger it again. Thanks!

I am rolling on the fucking floor, thrashing about, foaming at the mouth, losing all the air within my lungs, vibrating with an intensity not far from nuclear fission, I am earthquaking, knee breaking, unrelentingly feral for Kier. NOT ONLY FOR KIER THOUGH, NO! NO, THAT WOULD LET MY ACHY BREAKY HEART REST FOR BUT A MOMENT! - OLEANDER. NEED I SAY MORE. As a matter of fact, I do, I do need to say more. But I can't for at least 2 business hours because I am going to send myself into cardiac arrest and I don't have insurance so that would suck.
Hey!! I bought this game about 60 days ago, and recently I realized that I could get a Steam key for the game, but I can't seem to find it. I connected my Steam account to my account and looked at the download page. I was wondering if that's maybe because when I bought the game when it was discounted. If so, I will just repurchase the game on Steam, truly a peak game, so I wouldn't mind much. Thanks!
To the best of our knowledge (and I did email itch.io's support about this) getting the game on discount shouldn't block you from getting a Steam key. They did mention that some people have their Steam account and itch.io account attached to different email addresses and that can cause problems, but unfortunately that's not something I can help troubleshoot. Here's their troubleshooting page on Steam keys to double-check, and if that doesn't help then I suggest emailing support (there's a link to that in the final section of the troubleshooting page).

Wow, I really loved the chapter 2 updates. I wasn’t initially sold on Keir but this made me fall in love with him. The CG was lovely. He’s deceptively cute, and now I wish the gap between my teeth was wider.
Cirrus was a bastard from the start, a lovable bastard but still. He’s magnetic. I always think it’s fun when a character fucks with the UI/choices. The ending with Francesco… ugh he’s such a good boy :’) This route has a lot of great tension; the meter freaked me out the first time I saw it. CG was gorgeous. I didn’t understand the ending until playing Keir’s route. I audibly said, “no fucking way,” to my computer.
I’m really excited to follow this. I anticipate Oleander’s story the most!! He is my husband actually <3

Steam keys are just a way to get a game from Steam without needing to go through the purchase process directly on Steam. If you'd prefer to play OBSCURA on Steam, I'd recommend buying it there to reduce the potential for complications. The only exception is for people in Germany and China; OBSCURA is blocked for sale on Steam in those countries, so you'd have to buy the game on itch.io.

Ah, I'd guess you're from Germany or China? Steam has OBSCURA blocked in both of those countries because it claims the game has "frequent sexual content". We disagree, but Steam gave the game a high age rating and has refused to lower it.
Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about this right now. You can buy the game here on itch.io (sorry about the lack of regional pricing, we'd turn it on if it was an option) and you will get a Steam key with your purchase that should work like normal, but that's the only option we can offer right now.

You should get a Steam key if you get the game through Itch.io, yes. You'll have to connect your Steam and Itch.io accounts (it's in the setting menu), and then on the download page there will be a button for getting a key.
And to clarify: Steam is the one that decided our age rating. We wanted a lower rating.
