The safeword menu is just so perfect and good, it makes me so safe, i never thought i would need it, as an diagnosed depressed person, this SURELY made my heart melts. Some small things can be good big things to people in some way.
Thank you for adding this, im so gratefull, it looks like its nothing, but for me and other people means a lot. (Im not a english speaker, so if i wrote anything wrong, correct me, please.)

Just for asking a safeword before anything else and having this great aftercare screen, this game is already amazing. And then it's just got such a rich atmosphere, the protag is believable, and well written and the world is just chef's kiss. I know the focus for these games is on the love interests, but just the universe and the writing has me awestruck o.o And Cirrus... I can't spoiler anything, but <3 >.<  Haven't tried other routes yet, but I'm super excited for the next chapter.

This game was a pleasure to play, I was gonna go with Cirrus but Keir swept me off my feet (literally). I can't wait for more

I just got the Best End with Kier and im INVESTED with this, istg im going to play it until i get all the ending possible. I love this game and I can't wait for the full game to come out because i will SURELLY get hyperfixated on it!

Not only i love the concept of the game, the art, the soundtrack but i love how well it works. I love how fluid the dialogues go and for me it went incredibly smooth. I really have no bad things to say about this game

I was just looking around, and as soon as I downloaded the game, I got myself hooked and immersed in the story. all about it is just immaculate. I love the "main character"'s personality, plus the interactions with others are fluid and seem not forced or superficial. Thank you all for your work, and give us a chance to enjoy your creation with us

the art is stunning, the music was so enjoyable and of course, the story kept my attention and had me wanting more! my fav is absolutely Cirrus. i love me a hot, red flag lol looking forward to chapter 2!

this is so cool! i love the character designs, endings and cgs. on my first play, i got the best ending with cirrus (we are locked in now) and enjoyed it a lot! amazing work, devs :))

wow. genuinely, the safeword/aftercare feature is wonderful. i got a bit overwhelmed by a scene and decided to use it, and the sweet dialogue w/ the protagonist actually made me cry a little. it's such a rare feature in games, but so very well done and much appreciated by me. lots of love to the devs/writers.

I'm so down bad for Oleander... The hair, the outfit, the banter, the TOUCHES!!! I hate that it felt so short, but I seriously cannot wait for more.

I played the game on Steam but holy hell I love it so much.  I am struggling to pick a favorite. My first run I got a bad ending for Cirrus (I ran away, ifykyk) but I went back and got the good end because I like him that much, lol. I really like the way the stories between all 4 people meld! Cirrus seems separate for now, but I am sure that will not be the case in the full game. I truly cannot pick a favorite, I love all of them for separate reasons.

I think I am doing something wrong but i don't know what. I click download now and continue to the download page. And then download for windows and it starts downloading and gets about a hour into it then stops. It goes red and says "File wasn't available on site". Has anyone else had this?

I need Oleander's chapter 2 so badly!!! (However morally grey the both of us are; the moment he murdered- I was so high and happy and I lost it) This game is so freaking good, I love Keir's story plot too! They're both just so fine! The only reason I'm not down bad for Cirrus is probably because we are the same type of person (I want, at one point, for our roles to switch; just imaging it makes me squeal; If you get me, you get me)

I love this game soo much I actually enjoyed playing it! Most importantly I loved the feature that lets us talk to the mc it’s such a sweet thing and cool idea and unique. This made the mc more of a character than just there …( hope u understand what am saying..;) anyways I would totally recommend this game and would love playing the second chapter! 

Taking about the second chapter will you release new chapters/ content or is that it for the game …? Does anyone know ?

i loved everything about this demo. the storyline, the characters, the ambience...!!!!! plus there is the 'aftercare' option which i think was very thoughtful. cirrus my beloved ♡

Not only is this game extremely good, the dev team also has an entire Tumblr blog full of lore and character interactions. Christmas came early this year 😊

RHIS HAME IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!1 I enjoyed every bit of every route?!!? All of the characters are SO likeable (except one toxic priest COUGH it's ok we love him) and have such good stories, they're unique to the brim and i cannot wait to see what chapter 2 has in store!!! Did all 20 endings in like 2 days i need help i'm obsessed with these silly guys

this game is just too good! after recently finishing it, im wondering if anyone has an idea of when chapter 2 may come out? im just so excited to continue cirrus's route, especially after him saying he'll protect us!!!!! T.T

I’ve only just now got to really sit down and play the game, but so far its amazing. From the art, to the characters and the storyline. (btw as a Keira… Being introduced to Keir threw me off for a second)

Honestly this game is just so fun!!

I'm a *huge* sucker for visual novels, always have, always will, and honestly this just makes me want to scream. The visuals, the character design, the soundtrack are all so amazing. And for once I found myself not hating the MC!

My first choice was actually Cirrus (I'm a huge sucker for religious characters) and I have NO regrets. Sometimes I feel like the dialogue's he has are weird, but honestly he's portrayed in a way that makes me squeal. My first ending was his best one, and that was.. a trip! Was NOT expecting to get sold the second time around, but I think it reflects a lot on his character how if you aren't entertaining he genuinely thinks the best thing for you is to sell you off to the s*x industry, showing how that's all he really thinks of you. I'm eagerly waiting for the 2nd chapter just for Cirrus! :3

(I love all the cast equally, but Cirrus has my whole heart and is the one I believe is written the best!)

While it took me far, far longer than I had intended to get all of the routes.. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I love  OBSCURA. 

Even though we only get a small glimpse of it, the world seems very interesting. I enjoyed the little bits of lore that we get here and there from both Vesper and other characters around the market. And, Vesper's plight is actually quite fascinating. 
I feel terrible for them, and even without the varied and wonderful Love Interests, I would still want to see how the story ends for Vesper. (Yes, I am one of the big fans for Vesper. They are very charming for a player character!)
Plus, the very different paths and endings we can get with each character were a hell of a lot of fun! The writing for every character was just absolutely amazing (not to mention the beautiful art that we've been treated to!)

SPOILER WARNING

The Love Interests are certainly the biggest draw, however. Each route has very fun and enthralling storylines, even for taking place in a relatively short time-frame. 

Now, I started with Oleander. 

I freaking adore Oleander. He ended up being probably my favorite of the Love Interests. He's charming, he's witty... he's a murderer, and he absolutely plays the part of the Gadfly well. 

Excluding the endings where Vesper's downfall is their own fault (to an extent), even Oleander's bad end was actually quite gentle. 

He's not a good person in many ways, but he really has a kind side to him. The scenes where he takes Vesper to the tea house — and where I first got to know Griff, who was hilarious by the way — and the dance scene at the party were just... beautiful. I think the dance scene took my breath away.

As an aside, I really liked that his story is very intertwined with Keir's. But I am a little worried as to where things are going to go between them.

Next up, Francesco! The boy, the cutie. Light of my life, apple of my eye. He's just about tied with Oleander for a favorite.

I just don't exactly... trust him. While Oleander's bad sides were pretty obvious, Francesco not so much. 

Yes, he definitely has a problem where he wants to get into some not so great things and he kind of puts himself into bad situations... but there is definitely more than meets the eye when it comes to him (or is there? He really could just be naïve and sweet. I just have a feeling he's not entirely that)

I have to admit, I sobbed during the bad endings we could get before going into the club. I was outraged. 

In  general, Francesco is kind of a mess but it's very charming. I just want to hold him and protect him from the marketplace... and from himself, a little bit. He's really trying to get into some heavy stuff, and as someone who had gone through a bit of a phase trying some -cough- similar things, I can say it may not be worth it in the long-run. But that just means that I hope we can protect him and help him when the time comes.

Keir was my next choice.

He is sassy. I loved it. I loved the banter.

He also had a very tough shell to get through. Of course, because he's a thief who is doing his best to keep his home and friends safe and cared for, it's pretty understandable. It also makes a lot of sense that he only starts to open up to Vesper if we manage to be more open to the life he leads. 

I loved the touch of having to be more friendly with his thief pals to lead into his good ending. 

There were definitely higher stakes in his route. I appreciated that we got a little taste of what his job entails, and it was actually quite terrifying when we had to deal with the guard. As someone with social anxiety and a mistrust for people in a place of power, it made me very uncomfortable and the bad end with most of the group was very disheartening. 

I would say, however, his storyline is the most compelling in the sense of trying to help people on top of fixing Vesper's dilemma. I really hope there is a happy ending there, because I actually am scared for the future of Mouse Hole. 

Cirrus' route is the most recent route for me and... wow.

He is beautiful, but he is scary and kind of The Absolute Worst ™

I had a vague sense of what we were getting into when starting his route, but he is actually quite a cold character in many ways. 

Between selling off Vesper when he gets bored of them, or just straight up orchestrating their death... He's awful xD I got angry during those endings.
It's actually a little scary that a man like him is in a place of power like a priest. He really can (and, I assume, does) hurt people under the guise of helping them. A true sadist. I only hope that some of what he does really does end up helping those who seek him out.

I can't say I'm not a masochist in a sense, but he does go overboard (and I don't mean the flogging scene, just in general... even if I had mixed feelings on how he went about the punishment because the consent felt dubious even with Vesper obeying and being more open to him). And yet, it makes me wish to see where his and Vesper's romance will lead in the best ending. 

I won't entirely hold my breath, but I hope to see him soften a little bit and maybe become a slightly better person. (But hey, even if he doesn't, he is very nice to look at and the scary personality is  fun to deal with.

Edit: I know this comment is a few days old, but I did want to add that I think the writing for Cirrus is fantastic, and I hope no one thought that I meant otherwise. It is rare that a character/story makes me become actually angry. I think he is truly a fascinating character.)
