I think this level of transparency is very important when you're asking people to spend money on an unknown entity, so please, keep it up! Hi! I'm wondering if you have a time estimate of when Keir/Cirrus's third chapter would be released? As I understand it, the third chapter is the last for each route, so each route would not be complete without it. Would it be another year? This will help me with some personal decision-making. Oh lord, that's a tough one. We have internal estimates, but we're not comfortable offering a public timeline, given we all work on this game as a side-project. If you'd like an assurance that Keir and Cirrus' routes will be complete before buying, we'd suggest following us on a social media platform (or here on itchio) and waiting for an announcement. Waiting for the end of Early Access is very reasonable and we respect that choice.

You do Kier's Chapter 2 and its so wholesome, and then you get onto Cirrus' Chapter 2 and you just get whiplash from the difference in vibes. I loved them both so much. It's nice that the routes, all feel different, Kier x MC feels more equal and reciprocated, while Cirrus x MC is definitely "well...this route is a wonderfully large field of red flags and toxicity but I refuse to leave.". I really enjoy how the MC is snarky, crude and chatty in all routes but its responded to differently in each route, Kier is begrudgingly into it, Oleander is basically your twin, Francesco is just...so sweet and easy to tease and Cirrus doesn't like it in excess (to the point that he has a "brattiness patience meter" which I actually found hilarious when I first saw it xD). I cant wait for Oleander and Francesco Chapter 2.
I can understand being financially unable to purchase the new chapter but it takes a lot of time to make visual novels and the quality of Obscura's art and writing is so well done I think the 14.99 is too low. I recommend saving up to get the chapter so we can support the devs and they can continue to work on more content for us!
I also just learned that it's a one time purchase recently. So if you save up, you won't need to buy future chapters. You'll get future updates for free after the purchase. It's like getting early access for a game that is in progress. :)
Hello! Sorry if I'm putting this in the wrong place, but just to let you know, at the very beginning when I chose "Mx. they/them" the guards called me "Ms"! It's the only time it's incorrect, as far as I can tell, but I just wanted to flag it!!
Which build of the game are you playing? If it's a number lower than 1.6.1, this is an old bug and should be fixed. If it's 1.6.1 or 2.0, then I need to go bugfixing again.
I checked and it says 1.6.1! I'm also not able to access Chapter 2, either when loading my previous save file from Keir's route, or when I replay the game from the start. Thank you!!!

I find it hilariously ironic (and probably says something troubling about me as a person) that the only character I’ve gotten a good ending with easily, and on the first try, has been Cirrus 😅 Everyone else is a STRUGGLE. Im gonna give that ending chart a gander for help..
Francesco's second chapter is still in the pipeline, so you'll need to wait for that. That said, there's not no Francesco content in the upcoming release 😉
We don't have a browser play option, but in general when folks have difficulty launching the game the most common issue is an antivirus freaking out. It depends on what antivirus you're using, but it's usually possible to whitelist a folder to say "things in here are safe". Our game does not contain any viruses, but it's obviously up to you to decide to fiddle with your antivirus if that's what causing the problem.
Edit: It's just occurred to me that if you're calling it an app you may be trying to download it from a mobile device. OBSCURA doesn't have a mobile version, if that's what's going on.
I made an account just to write a review and it's 2am so this might not be most eloquent but WOW y'all cooked! just spent the last few hours playing and exploring. Absolutely love the concept, the characters, the diversity and WOW even the side characters have such interesting and impactful silhouettes! Mad props to the character designer/s because being able to convey so much info in JUST a silhouette is so impressive.
Vesper is also such a fun MC, they're smart, quick-witted and sassy; one of my favourite MCs that I've encountered and they make me laugh a lot. Perfect amount of both "damsel in distress" and capable! I love the mask and cloak designs, I'm curious to see if you'll add more as the game goes on!
The boys all have so much charm, all in very different ways. I went into it thinking I may only like Cirrus based on design but as I played each of the routes I really love all of them. I cannot express how much I appreciate seeing well written morally grey characters! I think I'm most curious about how Oleander's route will play out, but Keir has me swooning and feeling so soft. Cirrus is incredibly captivating (not to mention beautiful) and I can't wait to see what happens there. I really love that I can't tell if I can trust Francesco at all, it makes me wanna find out even if it kills me!
Also, the safeword feature is such a thoughtful idea, as well as the various accessibility options available (this is the first time I have ever seen options for dyslexia).

We don't have plans on doing a mobile port of OBSCURA any time soon, since that will require a revision of the UI to be mobile-friendly, among other reasons. The Joiplay tool might work for you if you use an Android device, but we can't guide you through the installation process for that since we personally don't use it (although we can confirm we use the Ren'py engine, so you'll likely need the Ren'py plugin to make it work).

i literally play this game over and over and Cirrus is actually my number one opp like genuinely that man is the devil. he is VILLAINOUS. (Keir on top!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I kept on dying. Like a lot. Like I didn't even know there was a good ending at first. Even as a very stable person, the aftercare screen is very sweet and very much appreciated. And despite the first thing I said, I still enjoyed it a lot and I can't wait to see the full game!
THIS IS SO DAMN GOODDDD!!!! i love the aftercare screen so muchhhh!!! i played Cirrus's route and ngl i got scared of him and goes to the aftercare screen and talk to the main character. i feel much better tbh. Some small things can be good big things to people in some way. Thank you for adding this, im so gratefull, it looks like its nothing, but for me and other people means a lot. And then it's just got such a rich atmosphere, the protag is believable, and well written and the world is just chef's kiss. I know the focus for these games is on the love interests, but just the universe and the writing has me awestruck o.o And Cirrus... I can't spoiler anything, but <3 >.< Haven't tried other routes yet, but I'm super excited for the next chapter.
I just got the Best End with Kier and im INVESTED with this, istg im going to play it until i get all the ending possible. I love this game and I can't wait for the full game to come out because i will SURELLY get hyperfixated on it!
Not only i love the concept of the game, the art, the soundtrack but i love how well it works. I love how fluid the dialogues go and for me it went incredibly smooth. I really have no bad things to say about this game

If you're playing in the 1.6.1 build then you're still playing the demo; you need to download and be playing the 2.0 version to access Chapter 2.

If you pick "Stay and see what happens next", you will always meet Keir. Pick one of the other two choices in that menu to meet different fellows.
