Whew, we made it through the start of 2025! We like trying to start with our best foot forward here in the raccoon den, and I think it’s fair to say we made some good progress! January saw us getting back into the swing of things after a lovely relaxing holiday break, and we finally got to put some exciting plans into motion that you’ll get to hear more about very soon 👀

But let’s not tease you, let’s talk about what we’ve actually done. Tobi hit a new milestone with Francesco’s script! There’s still plenty of skeleton to flesh out at this point, but every milestone is worth celebrating, and now she’s moving from freaky-but-adorable stuff into extremely fun world-building stuff. We can’t wait to show you where Francesco and Vesper are going on their adventure, we think you’re really going to like it.

On my side of the writer’s room, I’m in the very lucky position of being able to take my time polishing Oleander’s second chapter and adding little bits and pieces to really make it sparkle. But since idle hands are the devil’s playthings, I did find myself writing something else that you should be able to experience in the next few weeks. Nothing major, just a little treat, to show that we love you all. Since I don’t want to spoil the surprise early, here’s a snippet of the script from a very optional part of Oleander’s second chapter.

Mugi’s been up to a whole bunch of mischief as well. While I can’t talk about everything she’s working on at the moment (and there has been a lot!!) I can show you a very small sneak peek at something you should be able to see in the game very soon.

Again, it’s part of the little treat for you all, because we love you.

Obviously I’m being a touch coy because here in the raccoon den we try not to make promises we’re not confident we can keep (like Nintendo! We’re just like Nintendo, right??), but if you consider the fact that we’re a romance game team, and what the next couple of weeks look like on the calendar, you can probably make a guess as to our target. 

And that’s all from us this month! February is a short month, but it’s also totally our season! We’ve got a few things coming up that we’re excited to share, so you’ll definitely be hearing from us again very soon. Until then, take care of yourselves and enjoy many treats!
