September round-up
Whoa, looks like we all made it out of September in one piece. Let’s look back on what happened!
You may have heard that we released Chapter Two for Cirrus and Keir, and we can confirm the rumour is true! It has been so exciting working to get to this point, and seeing your reactions to our work is so gratifying. We are so grateful for everyone who is joining us in our Early Access journey, and we’re working hard to ensure the patience of those waiting for the full game will be rewarded.
So, what have we gotten up to in the rest of September? Well, we took a bit of a break from game dev to rest and refresh ourselves first of all. The first week of September was crazy for us and it was nice to relax and think about other things for a while. We have been watching your responses to the game, though, and very much enjoying that! At time of writing we’re at 100 reviews on Steam, all positive, and we’re absolutely elated with that!!
For our artist Mugi that break didn’t last too long, though, as she took the exciting step of going to Tokyo Game Show! We’re extremely fortunate that the opportunities for us to attend lined up so beautifully and we’re grateful for Sweden Game Arena giving us a spot in their booth. While most of the TGS antics are exciting for us in the behind-the-scenes, Mugi did make something else for everyone to be excited about.
The full-sized images are available on her Twitter, but your eyes do not betray you! That’s a promotional postcard with her gorgeous Chapter Two announcement art (the QR code leads to our store page so folks can download it, not anything secret), and those handsome fellas are cute and marketable stickers now. This is an initial test-run for making merch, and while there’s some things that need fixing before we can try again, we’re really happy with how these turned out! It’s been great practice for the future 😊
So, what’s next for us? Back in the raccoon den we’re getting back into gear writing for Oleander and Francesco’s second chapters (and getting pretty excited about those, too!). That said, this year October is remarkably busy (way more than usual!) for us so we expect progress to be a touch on the slower side for this month. Which isn’t to say we won’t be doing anything; as always, we recommend you follow us on Twitter, Tumblr, and/or joining our Discord server to keep up to date with us, as we’ll definitely have one or two things to talk about in October.
Hallowed be thy ween,
The Rotten Raccoons Team 💙🦝

Oh that's just wonderful! The promo material looks great. Even if you do hop back on the grind, do remember to take care of yourselves <3
i still remember when keir and cirrus were the only LIs and now u guys are at Tokyo Game Show ??!! so proud of u guys and excited for merch !!
It's fair to say we got a fair bit of good luck to be able to go (we're definitely an outlier in the indie romance VN space and it would be unfair to pretend otherwise), but I do also believe that you can make your own luck with some hard work. Thank you so much 😊
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
